E hoje, 9 de abril, o nosso querido King B faz 34 anos de idade e o seu aniversário coincide com o de outra lenda do Rocabilly, Carl Perkins. Alguém duvida que ele estava predestinado a ser bem-sucedido? E já desde pequeninho fazia sucesso: num desses programas de calouros para crianças, ele foi o vencedor com a música “Love Me Tender”.


E falando de Elvis Presley, este artista foi a entrada do Basti para o mundo do Rock ‘n’ Roll quando ganhou uma fita do Rei no Natal (ou embaixo de uma árvore, como ele declarou numa entrevista, hahahaha). Outro artista que o Basti admira é o Buddy Holly.

Entre os vocalistas de The Baseballs, ele é quem tem a maior diversidade vocal, e isso graças a aula de canto que teve quando criança. Basti consegue cantar qualquer gênero musical desde pop, passando por blues até, naturalmente, rock, entre outros estilos. E isso sempre foi ressaltado pelos outros membros da banda: a sua voz incrível.

Desde 2012, ele apresenta na sua cidade natal, Magdeburg, o projeto Homecoming, onde canta músicas de todas as épocas e estilos.

Atualmente, Basti mora em Berlim e como já devem saber é apaixonado por futebol e torcedor roxo do Borussia Dortmund. Sam já comentou numa entrevista que é impossível assistir um jogo do Borussia com ele pois, Basti fica extremamente nervoso e agitado. Com certeza, se não fosse cantor, seria um jogador de futebol profissional, inclusive ele já foi goleiro do FC Magdeburg e foi campeão com o time Vorspiel Berlin do torneio Europapokalsieger. 

Uma de suas características é ser muito organizado, aliás, ele é o responsável por organizar as coisas em The Baseballs. Ele também adora cozinhar e segundo Digger é “um perfeito dono de casa” (uma das nossas administradoras está procurando desesperadamente um Basti para sua própria casa, hahaha).

And today, April 9, our beloved King B is 34 years old and his birthday coincides with another Rocabilly legend, Carl Perkins. Does anyone doubt that he was predestined to be succeeded? And since he was a little boy he was successful: in one of these freshman programs for children, he was the winner singing "Love Me Tender".

And speaking about Elvis Presley, he was Basti's entry into the world of Rock 'n' Roll when he won a King's tape at Christmas (or under a tree, as he said in an interview, lol). Another artist that Basti admires is Buddy Holly.

Among the vocalists of The Baseballs, he has the most vocal diversity, thanks to the singing classes he had when he was a child. Basti can sing any musical genre from pop, blues to rock, among other styles. And this was always highlighted by the other members of the band: his incredible voice.

Since 2012, he is playing in his hometown, Magdeburg, the Homecoming project, where he sings songs from all times and styles.

Currently, Basti lives in Berlin and as you may know, he is passionate by football and mad about   Borussia Dortmund. Sam has already commented in an interview that it is impossible to watch a game of Borussia with him because  Basti is extremely nervous and agitated. Certainly, if he was not a singer, he would be a professional football player, including that he was a goalkeeper for FC Magdeburg and was a champion with the Vorspiel Berlin team of the Europapokalsieger tournament.

One of his characteristics is to be very organized; in fact, he is responsible for organizing things in The Baseballs. He also loves to cook and according to Digger, he is "a perfect housemaker" (one of our administrators is desperately looking for a Basti for her own home, lol).
